Official Rules for 5-7 Year Old Division

1.     Play will consist of four 5 minute quarters.

2.     No full court press allowed.

3.     Teams must play zone defense.  No man to man.

4.     Every player must play at least one quarter.  This does not have to be accomplished at one time.  All players must have played at least the length of one quarter (5 minutes) by the end of the game.

5.     Lane violations are 5 seconds.

6.     Free throw line will be nine feet away from basket.

7.     Each coach will have 4 Time Outs per game.

8.     Team ahead by more than 20 points must play defense behind three point line.

9.     At any point when the lead becomes 20 or more the clock will run continuously except for timeouts.

10. Overtime Period is 2 minutes.

11. One additional Time Out is given to each team for games that go into Overtime.

12. Visiting team must provide clock operator.

13. Home team must provide Official Scorer. Scorer will sit at score table and be responsible for keeping the official score book for that game.

14.  Coaches are responsible for the actions of their players and parents.

15.  Any coach who receives 2 technical fouls in one game will be removed from that game. Additionally a two game suspension will be enforced. This means the coach cannot coach the next two games their team plays.

Official Rules for 8-10 Year Old Division

1.      Play will consist of four six minute quarters.

2.      Full court press will be allowed.

3.     Every player must play at least one quarter.  This does not have to be consecutively.  All players must have played at least the length of one quarter (6 minutes) by the end of the game.

4.     Three second lane violation.

5.      Free throw line will be 12 feet.

6.      Four timeouts per game.

7.      Team ahead by 20 points must play defense behind three point line.

8.      At any point the lead becomes 20 or more points the clock will run continuously; except for timeouts or inside the 1 minute mark.

9.     Overtime period is 2 minutes.

10. One additional timeout is given to each team for games that go into Overtime.

11. Visiting team must provide clock operator.
